🍽 Where we went for our anniversary dinner

My boyfriend and I are huge steak lovers, so after some research we decided on Bedrock Origin for our 3rd anniversary dinner. It’s a little out of the way in Sentosa, but was a nice little getaway from the usual areas.

STARTERS

🧅  French Onion Soup [$18]

An above average french onion soup! Equal amounts of cheese and onion, neither was overpowering the other. It was yummy and I enjoyed this one.

🐟 Kingfish Sashimi [$38]

Honestly quite forgettable. It looked pretty good on pictures so we decided to order it. The sashimi itself was not bad, but paired with brown rice puff, it ended up a little weird.

SIDES

🧀 Bedrock Mac ‘n’ Cheese [$22]

This sent us straight into a food coma… We were super out of it after! Probably the most phenomenal mac and cheese ever. Worth going back for.

MAINS

🥩 Bedrock Pepper Steak [$118]

🥩 Australian Grass-Fed Striploin [$79]

The pepper steak was served with their house-made black peppercorn sauce on the side. It was.. very peppery so we didn’t eat it that much 🥲. We ordered two different types and the ribeye ended up more tender than the striploin, but both were drier than we would’ve liked, which was a pity.

DESSERT

🍰 Lava Cake [on the house!]

Bedrock Origin was lovely enough to have served us complimentary dessert to end off the meal. It was interesting but nothing life-changing.

Overall, it was a borderline average meal. Service was good and attentive. The sides definitely outshined the steaks so don’t think I’ll be back for the meat. Maybe we’ll try the outlet at Somerset, but I don’t think we’ll be back at this particular outlet anytime soon.
