After the rollercoaster of emotions I experienced last night, today is all about *me* and my little fur baby! 🐾 Heading to the dog park first, then treating myself to a positive affirmations shower to reset my vibes. ✨

Tonight's plan? Cozying up with some wine, indulging in a few gummies, and diving back into the magical world of Sailor Moon. 🌙💖

So, what exactly happened last night? Well, it was a bit of a mixed bag. My dad and I have always had a complicated relationship. He’s been around but not really "here" in the way most dads are. We usually only text on birthdays and holidays. Last week, I texted him for his birthday, and there was no response for 4 days. Not like him at all. 😅

Last night, my overthinking got the best of me, so I called him. I kept it real and let him know how his lack of response made me feel. It turned out he thought he had messaged me back—an honest mistake. We ended up talking for an hour, catching up on life, which was huge for me. It was the first time I’ve ever really opened up to him. I’m proud of myself for that. 👏

Then, there’s this guy I was talking to about 5 weeks ago. We decided to just be friends, but out of the blue, he hits me up on his birthday, saying he doesn’t like people telling him “happy birthday.” Okay, cool. No big deal. 😌

While I was on the phone with my dad, he messaged me with, “Wanna hear something funny?” I said, “Sure,” and he proceeded to tell me that his new girlfriend dumped him on his birthday after he flew them to Hawaii. Like… wow, okay. Now he’s running back to me, asking if we can try again. 😬

I let him know that I know my worth, and if he can’t see that, he’s just wasting my time. Not saying I’m in love with this guy, but I’ve got a big heart that loves everyone, and some people really take that for granted. It’s sad because I’m not going to be as nice to him as I was before. 🤷‍♀️

Anyways, I’m super excited to finally crack open this wine. It’s been a while, and let me tell you, I’ve earned it, child! 🥂
