BEST PLACES to take your pups 🐾

Being in New Jersey, there are a good amount of dog friendly places, some of which weren’t mentioned above like a cafe etc.

All of these suggestions are places I’ve personally been to with my pups.

1. Apple Picking/Winery

This was the most recent activity we took our puppy to, he was well behaved but very excited so get ready for him to pull. He was exploring through the apple fields and snacking here and there. When we did the winery he just chilled underneath the table while we sat and ate/drank

2. Hiking Trail/Resivoir

I’ve taken both my pups on hiking trails many times. Fury is amazing off leash so I love taking him. It’s a great way for dogs to get some control in there life and enjoy a walk. There’s also a lot of dogs on the trail so be ready to stop and say hi. The only con I’d say is rude people who don’t expect dogs to be off leash. If you go on a hiking trail at this point please expect dogs.

3. Pumpkin Patch

We actually did this the same day as apple picking and the winery but sometimes they’re separate. The pumpkin patch was very small but no one was really here while we were so it was very relaxing. Shadow was able to sniff around and just chill for the most part.

4. Starbucks/Dunkin

I’m sure most of you have taken your pups to a drive through to get pup cups. But for those who haven’t, Starbucks and Dunkin do Pup Cups which are little cups filled with whip cream. All dogs love it! I will say Fury is not that good in a car but if we’re already in the car i like to stop and get him a treat. As for Shadow, he does not mind the car at all and will hop in any day.

5. Dog Park/Dog Friendly Field

Dog parks are a great way for your pups to get some socialization and energy out. It’s always filled with a new dog so it gives them some time to get used to new faces. I love it for both of these reasons and both of my pups have been several times. Fury is 4 now so recently he hasn’t been amused by them but Shadow still loves them. Definitely try taking your dogs here as much as possible.
