best decision in korea: getting my nails done 💅

i rarely get my nails done in singapore because of a few factors:

1. it’s quite pricey

2. the quality and designs aren’t what i’m looking for

3. i’ve had quite a few bad experiences locally

i love korean nail art designs and trends, so when i visited korea, i knew i needed to make an appointment and get my nails done there!

trust me when i say i have a full album on the kinds of nail art design i want 😛

there was a studio that i have been eyeing for the longest time, so after booking my air tickets, i booked my appointment with the studio: jenny nail 🫶🏻

(you need be able to converse and type in korean)

to confirm the slot, you need to make a wire transfer deposit to them. i used wise to do so!

PRICE —

for my design, I paid ₩110,000 (~SGD 125)

QUALITY —

honestly, this is THE best manicure i’ve ever done in my life. the quality from cuticle care, shaping, nail art, to the longevity of the nails were 100/10 (yes you saw that number right). i don’t regret paying that much money, and i definitely will return in future.

the nail technician did every single nail from scratch, including that piece of wire which she twisted into a spring shape and included it as part of the design. there were no sharp edges, and the finishing of everything was perfect.

this is the first manicure that i’ve received that i was genuinely 100% happy with 🥹💕 (i loved the one i got in bangkok too previously, but that shop is currently on hiatus since COVID-19 happened 😭)

DURATION —

if can’t decide if this or the quality aspect is the best part of the whole experience; the lady did EVERYTHING in 1 hr 15 mins. Till today I am shocked at how swift she managed to do everything from start to end, while maintaining such meticulous details and great quality.

i would honestly recommend to check them out if you can speak korean and are visiting korea, (no walk-ins allowed) because i definitely would again! 🥰
