The Best Google Calendar Features

For the longest time, I struggled with figuring out where my time went. Time would fly by, and somehow nothing would get done. Gcal has been my favorite tool to help combat this. I use Gcal to time block my day, and I utilize the labels and time insights to see how my time is spent! This method of time blocking is the quickest that I’ve found (I used to handwrite in a digital planner).

Every week, I’m able to analyze how much time I spend on each type of activity and reflect on my habits. Ultimately, I feel a lot more accomplished AND less tired when I time block because I’m able to get work done while also dedicating sufficient time for myself. Dedicating break time has been something that has helped me tremendously and improved my mental health because it’s easy to forget about breaks when you’re stressed :) Give this a try and lmk how it goes!!

BTW Unfortunately the labels and the time insights is only a feature on school/work accounts :( If you are on a personal account, you can still assign different colors as labels, however there won’t be a time insights feature.
