Black Sitcoms to Binge Part 1.! 📺

I LOVE OLD SITCOMS; even more so I LOVE BLACK Sitcoms. There’s just something about turning on your TV seeing Representation. Being able to Relate to different Characters; Situations and Stereotypes.

Through the Eyes of my Kid self watching these shows; I just thought OMG LOOK AT HOW BEAUTIFUL THESE PEOPLE ARE; LOOK AT HOW PUT TOGETHER THEY ARE; LOOK AT THEIR HOMES; JOBS; LIVES and THEY LOOK LIKE ME…Brown! So all of these things are obtainable.

Through my Eyes as an Adult; I understand that although ALL of those things still remain true, Life is Life. They still struggled in their lives. Marriage; Careers; Family; Kids; Blending Families; Bills; Insecurities; all the realities of Life that as a Child I didn’t understand or could relate to fully the way that I do now as an adult who has experienced or still experiences to this Day.

📺 Livin’ Single is my FAVORITE sitcom of all time! The ORIGINAL F.R.I.E.N.D.S. without the Glory! Argue with ya Mammy because I typed what I typed! It’s just something about that show that makes Me giddy like a Kid the Night before Christmas or first Day of school. The Strong willed Max; Stylish Regine Hunter; Cynlaire’s Humor and Khadijah trying to live Her Dream! An the Guys who are there for Love & Support. This show made Me want to move to BK and get a Brownstone with Friends I don’t have! 😂

📺 Moesha made Me just want to be a Teen! I just wanted to be Brandy so bad! I thought [still think] She’s absolutely Beautiful; I mean we don’t even have to talk about Talent! The Fashion. The Beauty. The “Boys” *RIP Hakeem, this show was so special to my 7 Year Old Self! I had so many Diary’s!!! 🤣💀

Although I could I’m not going to give a Synopsis for each Show! But I highly recommend that You give these Legendary Shows a Chance or a Revisit for some of You. I know y’all Great Great Grandma’s had a couple of these playing!
