🥛 Milk Drops🥛

Milk Drops is the original release from this collection, followed by Pink Drops and Cafe Drops. This perfume has received a lot of hype on TikTok, so I had to try it for myself.

When I first smelled it, I was surprised because it doesn’t open with a milk scent like the name suggests. Instead, the opening is green and floral with powdery undertones. Even though the top notes supposedly contain milk, I couldn’t detect it at all at first. The milk note only appears in the dry down, and it’s more of a baby milk powder kind of scent. So overall, it gives off a vibe of green milk powder, almost like spilling milk powder on a grassy field.

I think this is an interesting take on milk fragrances, especially since lactonic scents are trending in the fragrance community. Mykonos was clever in tapping into that market. The scent feels clean and inoffensive, making it a good everyday fragrance that most people would probably like.

However, for me personally, the combination of green and powdery milk doesn’t quite work. I would have preferred a creamier, more milky approach rather than a powdery floral one. Still, I think it’s worth a try for those curious about unique scents!

🍓 Pink Drops🍓

I’ve already reviewed Pink Drops in a previous post, so I’ll keep this brief. If you want a more in-depth review, feel free to check that out!

In short, Pink Drops is super nostalgic for me, reminiscent of strawberry-flavored candies like Galatine or Chupa Chups. It’s a sweet, gourmand fragrance with an opening of strawberry preservative that dries down to a syrupy, powdery scent. I love how it brings back memories of childhood, and it’s definitely a fun, playful perfume.

☕️ Cafe Drops☕️

Finally, let’s talk about Cafe Drops. Based on what I’d heard, I expected this one to smell like a tiramisu cake with strong vanilla and coffee notes. But when I first tried it, I was surprised! The opening is more of a burst of vanilla and orchid, which immediately reminded me of Kayali Vanilla 28.

I was waiting for the coffee note to appear, but to my nose, it’s very faint and doesn’t take center stage like I’d hoped. Instead, it smells like a less sticky, more musky version of Vanilla 28, with a slight boozy hint (even though no boozy notes are listed).

For those who aren’t familiar with Kayali Vanilla 28, it’s a warm vanilla fragrance with a sugary and amber dry down. I feel Cafe Drops could be a great layering fragrance due to its simplicity, despite its complex note profile. Overall, I really like it, but I do wish the coffee note was stronger to live up to its name. Vanilla lovers should definitely check this out!

Overall Thoughts:

The Milk Drop range from Mykonos is definitely worth trying, especially given its affordability and unique scent profiles. While they don’t smell particularly expensive (except for Cafe Drops) the price point makes them a great deal. Mykonos offers a wide range of perfumes at affordable prices, so there’s definitely more to explore from this brand.

Thanks for reading, and see you in my next post!
