Since it’s Memorial Day, I thought that I would share how to create lush and lovely picnics. Picnic season is actually probably almost over for us since it’s going to start getting hot but I sure do love a good picnic. Keep in mind, that I enjoy the setting up and photographing of these. It actually started as something I could do in 2020 and 2021 that kept me entertained and outside and away from people. And I have just kinda kept it up. Here’s what you need to make a lush picnic:

1) Pink quilt or blanket: This can be vintage or new. My amazon store has some pretty new ones. My vintage one came from a local antique store.

2) Vintage Picnic basket 🧺 : Mine was gifted to me by my aunt and I had the hubby paint it white.

3) Sun Hat 👒 : Gotta make sure to stay protected! I found my pink one in Chincoteague, Va.

4) Parasol ☂️: See above. Again, I have these on my

Amazon storefront.

5) Cake 🎂 : Order a little one from a local bakery!

6) Macarons and other sweet treats: See above

7) Fresh fruit and a baguette for a French feel. You can even throw in some cheese!

8) French Market Basket full of flowers 💐 : This is a MUST and I highly recommend that the flowers be farm fresh of course. Some farms also sell the market baskets like 3 porch farm. But if all else fails, I have these on my Amazon storefront as well.

9) Good Books 📚 : Nothing says that you can’t have a picnic with just you and your book boyfriend!

10) Champagne 🥂 : Yes please. Take an ice bucket too. The one featured is from Sasha Nicholas.

11) China, tea cups, tea pot, etc: I usually end up taking my cheaper pink china (yup on my Amazon storefront) because I am horrible about breaking or chipping or cracking bone china if I take it with me.

12) Be sure to take some pretty ribbon 🎀 with you to tie bows on everything.

13) Lace: Just because it’s pretty.

And before you ask, yes, I have actually taken this stuff into public with me too for Mother’s Day tea to ensure that my tea party was andie-fied enough. It’s essential 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I guess I should do a post of that tea huh??? It was super pretty but the food was 👎. The tea was good though. I keep saying I am going to go back for tea and just take my own food but I haven’t. Do you have picnics? Or tea parties? Any tips?
