my spooky/fall tbr! 🍂🎃🍁

hey guys! today i’m sharing my fall tbr, which im really excited for. I’ve been waiting for the perfect weather to finally read these books that have been on my tbr for months now. here’s a little about each of them if you’re curious:

1. House of leaves

- A man and his family move into a house that measures bigger on the inside than it is on the outside, from there the house evolves in incomprehensible ways. From what i’ve heard and seen, this book is extremely trippy to read, with the pages themselves being confusing to piece together at some points.

2. The Secret History

- An elite group of students at a university murder one of their friends. This is literally the originator of the dark academia aesthetic which I love. Can’t wait for this book to become my entire personality for the next month haha.

3. Frankenstein

- A scientist creates life and rejects his creation, prompting the question: who’s the real monster? This is such a classic and I can’t believe I haven’t read it yet. Aside from being perfect for halloween, i’m really excited to read this for the philosophical questions it brings up, sounds super interesting.

4. Pet Sematary

- I honestly don’t know much about what this is about, and google doesnt seem to offer much either lol, but Im honestly okay with that, I prefer to go into horror books without knowing much. This is going to be my second ever stephen king (unless you count richard bachman) and I love horror, so I’m excited to read more from the king of horror himself.

5. The Collected works of Edgar Allen Poe

- This is a collection of all of Poe’s short stories and poems. I love Poe so much but I’ve only read his most popular work. I also love how accessible short stories/poems are bc you can read them in one sitting.
