At home date nights always turn out to be some of the best dates! 🌹🥰

I love being in the comfort of my own home, wearing comfy clothes, no make up and my hair put up in a bun… but it’s even more enjoyable when you have your partner there to get comfy and cozy with.

At home date nights are SO underrated but I think it’s because a lot of people think an at home date night only consists of cooking dinner, making pre-made cookies from the story or watching a movie… but it doesn’t always have to be that!

It can be so much more fun. 🤪

I put a list together of 20 different cute, fun and creative date night ideas that are more unique than just cooking boxed Mac n cheese but more important will create a stronger bond between you and your partner! 👩‍❤️‍👨👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨💑👩‍❤️‍👩👨‍❤️‍👨

20 AT HOME DATE NIGHT IDEAS:

1) cooking challenge:

👩🏻‍🍳 choose a cuisine you both love, get all the ingredients and have a lil cooking competition to see who can create the tastiest dish!

2) indoor picnic w/ candles + music:

🧺 lay out a picnic blanket, prepare some fun finger foods and have a cozy indoor picnic together… light some candles, grab some champagne, and put scenic/nature videos on the TV!

3) movie marathon:

🎥 grab some popcorn and your favorite snacks and snuggle in bed with your favorite movies

4) DIY craft night (maybe make candles!)

🕯️ I love crafts and it’s such a fun way to be playful. Try creating candles together - you can each choose your own scents that make you think of one another and gift each other the candles you make!

5) build a fort + then watch a movie inside:

🏰 this will bring you both back to those childhood days… build the biggest fort you can possibly make and then grab your computer and turn on Netflix with popcorn

6) chocolate fondue night:

🍫 this might be my favorite at home date night… grab some sponge cake, fruits, marshmallows, graham crackers, whatever your heart desires… and do an an at home melting pot duuuupe

7) wine or beer tasting:

🍷 who doesn’t love trying different beer or wine? pick out a few different ones to taste and create a lil vineyard experience at home

8) virtual travel night:

✈️ pick a country you’d like to “visit” for the night and cook traditional dishes from that culture! It’ll be fun to try something new and learn about its customs

9) scrapbook your memories:

📔 this is the best way to reflect on all the good times and remember why you started falling for each other in the first place

10) puzzle night:

🧩 I’m terrible at puzzles but I still love a good challenge! Turn on some music and set a goal for how long it’ll take to finish the puzzle

11) relaxing home spa night:

🧖🏻‍♀️ everyone loves to be pampered! Grab some massage oils, light some candles and play spa music and treat each other to massages and face masks

12) stargazing:

✨ there’s nothing better than laying out in the grass on a big blanket and just listening to the world be still while looking at the stars

13) cook + dine blindfolded:

🧑‍🍳 this one is so fun! Challenge yourselves by cooking a meal blindfolded and then enjoy the results together… it might turn out pretty tasty!

14) paint + sip:

🎨 nothing better than crafts and wine! Turn it into a challenge and see who can create the best painting

15) themed costume dinner:

👗 choose a theme like 1970s or your favorite movie like the Titanic and dress up for a themed dinner at home!

16) baking night:

🍞 yes this means EVERYTHING from scratch

17) home karaoke roulette:

🎶 sing your hearts out together with an at home karaoke session

18) mystery ingredient cook off:

❓both you and your partner select a mystery ingredient for the other to use and you both have to create a dish using that ingredient!! (I love food network, can you tell?)

19) create a time capsule:

⏳ collect some items, photos, notes, whatever it may be that represent your current time and relationship with one another… then bury it or store it somewhere hidden away for the future!!! Set a reminder on your phone or send yourself an email for the day you want to open it down the line

20) science experiment night:

🧪 get playful and choose a simple experiment… even if it’s something like making slime or creating a volcano… you can even buy some fun science experiment kits at Target or Walmart!

❤️ remember… date nights don’t always have mean going out and spending a bunch of money… nights like this are just as valuable and even more so!
