SG's BEST dimsum place on discount? 😱🏃🏻‍♀️

to put things into perspective, I will literally DEFEND Yum Cha with my life 🫡 - it has the BEST DIM SUMS EVER. 🙇🏻‍♀️

so when i saw that they had a $2.40 deal, my family literally drove from woodlands atw to chinatown just to have some hearty dimsum 👨🏻‍🍳

we arrived at 12pm and the queue was already SNAKING LONG 😱 we waited for 20-30mins however, it was still ok since there was air conditioning hehe 🤭

Regardless, I would recco yall to come earlier and have brunch to avoid it 🫥

(disclaimer) $2.40 deal only includes 10 selected items! 🥸 however, these items are a selection of Yum Cha's SIGNATURE dishes, they are "seasonal items" that have appeared in the menu previously and are very popular among regulars! 👍🏻

💋 as a regular, I would say that I have ate most of their items so here are my personal recommendations ~

💋my favourites in the $2.40 selection:

- fried Yam and scallop

literally a DOOP for jumbo's dish but equally DELICIOUS 🔥 If you ain't getting, you're regretting. ⚠️

- Yum Cha Teapot Bao

IT WAS SOLD OUT WHEN I ARRIVED 😭 but i heard it tastes great AND it is SO CUTE i just want to squish the little teapot 🥺

- otak siew mai

a little controversial bc I LOVED IT but my parents felt it was just otah in a different shape ☹️

💋 my usual MUST GETS!!

- the egg tarts

its just delicious, im really picky and the only egg tart i enjoy eating is from tai cheong bakery. BUT HONESTLY this one is equally good as a self proclaimed food taster 😎

- their porridges 😍

extremely flavourful and they always give so much ingredient!

- the usual dimsums (har kow, siew mai, carrot cake, custard salted egg bun)

i think they do the "traditional" dim sum dishes REALLY WELL and these are just some of my preferred dim sums! in all honesty, their dimsums are really extremely robust in flavours which i appreciate so much!!

🤫 ps. their xiao long baos aren't good though... that is the only dim sum I wouldn't recommend getting from yum cha 🤣

I wouldn't recommend the XO carrot cake either bc for the high price... you might as well get the normal carrot cake 🥴
