Ingredients:
**Tart Shells:**
- Mini tart shells (store-bought or homemade)
**Pastry Cream:**
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp butter
**Toppings:**
- Fresh fruits (berries, kiwi, mango, etc.), cut into small pieces
**Instructions:**
1. **Prepare Tart Shells:** Bake mini tart shells according to package or recipe instructions. Let them cool completely.
2. **Make Pastry Cream:**
- In a medium saucepan, heat the milk until it begins to simmer.
- In a bowl, whisk together sugar, egg yolks, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, whisking constantly until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and butter. Let it cool completely.
3. **Fill Tart Shells:** Spoon the cooled pastry cream into each tart shell.
4. **Arrange Fruits:** Top with small pieces of fresh fruits.
5. **Serve:** Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
