I used to be someone who would sleep in SOO late. In college I was sleeping until 11am sometimes... Even when I graduated and needed to work, I would sleep in until 8:59am and hop onto my computer at 9am. Becoming someone who wakes up early took work, but it's so worth it!! I currently wakeup around 5-6am now and it's changed my life. I now have time for myself in the mornings and it's been incredible.

Here's HOW to become a 5AM GIRLIE!!

1. Prep for waking up the night before: If you want to wake up early, you NEED to get into bed early. I typically start getting ready for bed around 8:30 now. Also, prep for what you're going to do in the morning the night before!! Like gym clothes if you're going to work out or writing your to-do list.

2. Define WHY you want to wake up at 5am: This is soo important. If you don't have a why, you won't have a reason to get up when it's soo early.

3. Understand what you need to compromise on: Becoming an early riser has one big compromise: sleeping early. I don't stay out late anymore and I try to eat my dinner super early. Those were big changes to my lifestyle!

4. Create a morning ritual you LOVE: Alongside knowing WHY you want to wake up, define exactly what you're going to do when you wake up early!! Find a routine that you're addicted to. It'll help you get your butt up!

5. Keep consistent on weekends! This has definitely been hard for me, but I try my best NOT to sleep past 7-8 on weekends. Yes, it's not a 5am wakeup, but it's better than completely effing up my schedule! The more consistent you can stay, the easier it is for your body to adjust.
