A day in Santa Cruz

I lived in Santa Cruz during covid when I could work remotely and let me tell you, I loved living there. It’s such a cute and laidback town. Here’s how I’d spend a day there:

1. Sunny Cove Beach: this is a local beach and located right next to a Starbucks. I love getting a coffee and watching the waves

2. Pleasure Point: my favorite spot in all of Santa Cruz! I love watching surfers and it’s such a fun atmosphere with everyone walking along the cliff side. Makes you appreciate surf culture

3. 41st Ave: a cute street of restaurants and stores to browse in or grab a snack! Lots of surf shops and boutiques

4. Privates Beach: one of my favorite beaches because it’s so unique! You walk into it and it looks like a park but you take the steps down and it’s a beach. Very neat!

5. Downtown Santa Cruz: no location available here but you can just search Urban Outfitters and go around here! Parking is mostly metered or in garages but is cheap. Lots of shopping and food

6. Front & Cooper: I’m picky with cocktails but I absolutely love the gin and tonic drinks from front and cooper. Lots of options to customize them. This is also located in a food court so there’s other drinks and foods you can get!

7. Bay & West Cliff: a beautiful pathway overlooking the ocean and perfect for sunsets! I’ve seen some of the most beautiful sunsets at this location

8. Laili Restaurant: a Mediterranean restaurant with such a cute outdoor seating area. A little pricier for Santa Cruz but really good!
