I made mine a little different from the recipe but it came out delicious 🔥I used this recipe as a baseline✨

Traditional Recipe Ingredients:

- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

- 1 cup plain yogurt

- 2 tablespoons lemon juice

- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

- 2 teaspoons ground cumin

- 2 teaspoons ground paprika

- 2 teaspoons ground coriander

- 1 teaspoon turmeric

- 1 teaspoon garam masala

- 1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to desired level of spiciness)

- 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

- 2 tablespoons butter

- 1 onion, finely chopped

- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 can (14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes

- 1 cup heavy cream

- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, vegetable oil, cumin, paprika, coriander, turmeric, garam masala, chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and coat them thoroughly. Let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

3. Preheat your grill or broiler to medium-high heat. Cook the chicken pieces until they are slightly charred and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes on each side.

4. In a large skillet or saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until it becomes translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

5. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

6. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Continue cooking the sauce for another 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.

7. Add the grilled chicken pieces to the sauce, stirring well to coat them evenly. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

8. Serve the chicken tikka masala hot, garnished with freshly chopped cilantro. It pairs well with steamed rice or naan bread.
