Must do Thailand Activity: Elephant Sanctuary 🐘

Visiting an elephant sanctuary has been on the top of my bucket list for years, and it is one of the best things l've ever done in my life!

I booked booked directly through Stamps Backpackers Hostel & Tours Chiang Mai for the Chiang MaiChiang Mai Elephant Village Land for 2800 baht, which is around $80 USD for transportation two hours there and back, meals, and the full day experience.

This is such a fair price for the amount of work put into ethically caring for the elephants and caring for the guests.

We were taught how to feed the elephants bananas and water and then saw them walk around in the jungle on their own to see how they interact. We watched them take a mud bath and rinse off!

It was such a crazy experience, and I won’t lie they were a little scary! Fun fact: elephants are faster than you think when trying to step out of their way! 😂

Definitely a must do when in Thailand!
