Hmm… what happens when you’re snowed in on a beautiful mountain side ranch, which a hot sexy cowboy who you totally shouldn’t be fantasizing about?

Meet Layla Birch, a young woman who is going to school to become a veterinarian, a young woman who had grown up to fast. So she could take care of everything herself. When one night she decides to confront her ex- boyfriend who takes everything from her including her money. So she goes Devils Peak Ranch, only to barge into the sexiest man she ever seen, her ex’s father Colton Wilder.

Colton Wilder is a muscular, gruff, grumpy, and downright devilishly handsome. Only one thing, he’s off limits. When he hears about what his son has done to Layla, he decides to offer an apprenticeship to be able to finish out her vet career and also a good amount of money to help her take care of her Aunt who is in a nursing home.

All this seems to good to be truly for Layla, that’s until the road to get back down the mountain becomes snowed over and both Layla and Colt are stuck on the mountain alone in the depths of winter and they’re relationship heats up.

My thoughts: first time ever reading a cowboy/ western type romance and I freaking loved it. Like oh my gosh, y’all I’m about to see if my old man will go dress in some wrangler jeans and cowboy hat 🤣🤣. This does leave off what I feel might be a cliffhanger, the ended of this book makes me want to read more about these two. So excited for the second book coming out in November. I’m so ready for it.
