With sick season here, these are some ways I’m keeping my toddler healthy this winter.

If you want to be healthy during sick season, you want to eat well, take your vitamins, and get outdoors all year long. However, you can start to implement these during sick season too!

• Daily smoothie with fruits and veggies: an easy way to get in nutrient dense food that my toddler loves!

• Opening the windows in her room daily: did you know people get more sick during this time of year from being indoors more? Unfortunately our indoors can be toxic so fresh air is key!

• Saline spray: during the colder months, I spray this in her nose every other day. I will also do this if we were around a lot of people that day to get rid of any germs that may be up there 👃

• Humidifier: I run this in her room every night so she doesn’t get dried out from the heat being on!

• Gut friendly foods: the MOST important to staying healthy, everything stems from our gut so we need to treat it well!

• No added sugar: sugar suppresses your immune system! Try to limit sugar during this time of year, though it can be hard with the holidays. My daughter has never had any added sugar.

• Wash hands: an obvious one but I can guarantee you most people don’t wash their baby or toddler’s hands! Make sure this is the first thing you do when you get home from somewhere.

• Daily vitamins: and of course, daily vitamins!

Save this list and implement these best practices asap! #lemon8partner #sicktoddler #crunchymom #sickremedies #healthytoddler #healthylifestyle #kidshealthtips #toddlerfood #sickbaby #healthremedies
