The new Mean Girls movie missed the mark…

Honestly, I did not like the new movie at all. A lot of what made Mean Girls so iconic was removed!

The original message was made much blander in an obvious attempt to hop on modern day trends that just did not work. Don’t even get me started on the aesthetic, singing, and marketing decisions, as well as the glaringly obvious ELF product placement.

This remake took a provocative comedy-satire and turned it to shambles through superficial modern choice feminism 😭 They really missed the mark.

Feminism is so much more than this! Don’t be a victim to hyper-independent consumerist choice feminism! Superficiality and a lack of critical thinking is the downfall of any movement <3
