I made these in high school foods class and remembered for some weird reason last night, immediate craving 😂
The recipe calls for unsweetened cocoa powder, but I just had regular. They were on the sweeter side so if you don’t prefer that definitely use unsweetened
And disclaimer: I don’t have an electric mixer so this is all done by hand with a fork lol
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter room temp
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup flour
1/4 cup powdered sugar
- mix the cocoa, sugar and butter together in a bowl. then add the eggs and mix together just until combined.
- mix in vanilla, baking powder, salt and then the flour til it’s a sticky dough
- cover with plastic wrap and let it chill in the fridge for 4 hours.
- preheat the over to 350°. line your baking sheet(s) with parchment paper.
- put your powdered sugar in a bowl. roll the dough into 1-1.5 inch balls and roll them around in it until completely covered.
- put them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes
- I let them sit for a minute and then transferred to a wire rack to cool
Enjoy the content of 4 cookies cause everyone on my house demolished the rest 👌🏼
