hi.... this is my first lemon8 post hehe and am going to share my luggage market experience!!

we tried to get a slot ever since Dec 2023 and we finally got a slot for April 2024!!

cleared what i didn't wear anymore (& whats left from my previous flea - fleawhere) and ended up with 3 bags worth of clothings. ames also had 2-3 bags worth of clothings. i brought used bags & accessories to sell too!

our booth was located right infront of Tim Ho Wan (B65) we thought it was quite a good spot at first but it wasn't compared to the rest :( the popular spots were the ones near mcdonalds 🥹

the moment we reach our spot, there were people helping us to unpack BECAUSE THEY WANT TO SEE WHAT WE HAVE and get the good stuff first 🤣 we started off by selling our clothes between $2-$6 and the prices gets even more ridiculous throughout the day 🤣 we ended the day with $1 for whatever you can take!

ALSO, it was soooooo dusty that 2 of us were sneezing from 10am-6pm 🤧 shoutout to my bf's family for dropping by and buying us lunch although we didnt have time to eat hehe (we ate what they bought only after our booth ended WE DIDNT WASTE FOOD OK)

about 20pcs of clothes were what's left by the end of the event! we donated all of them and made sure to left our spot with no rubbish

TIPS:

1. we brought a pouch to store our cash and prepared about $300 worth of cash! (mostly $2 and $5) almost all of them used cash and <10 of them used QR code. so its good to prepare smaller notes :-)

2. we printed out ame's QR and sticked on three cardboards! the bigger the better, the size of our QR was slightly smaller than an A4 paper. (easier to scan!! p.s if you're feeling generous you can send some money to ames :))) )

3. we labeled almost all of our clothes with price written on the masking tape. we took out the tapes and sticked it on the cardboard after they purchase! red - mine, black - ames for easy counting after the event!

overall, it was quite a decent experience! if you're willing to sell your clothes at a really low price then go for it! we didn't profit much, maybe about $100+++ each after deducting the cost of the booth :-)

thanks for reading!
