Unlocked my First Half Marathon this year π₯Ή It's truly an amazing accomplishment for me , especially I donβt enjoy long road running last time π₯² but hereβs a great achievement i breakthrough this year and I would really love to share with you how I improve π€
β’ SIGNED UP A RACE
I was thinking to myself that I needed a BIG PUSH. So I took the courage to Signed up for a Half Marathon 21km π you know they always say β DO IT , THINK LATER LAH β HAHA and so then I know I need to train after that so it motivates me to do better for my race.
β’ EASY SHORT RUNS
I started my run with shorter distance on weekdays. Try to aim 5km - 12km at least daily, but donβt worry about the pace much cause I always want a to enjoy things Iβm doing βΊοΈ
β’ Strength Training : Mid week I go for strength training. My legs are my biggest weakness so I go to the gym once a week for weight to build muscles on my legs π¦΅and it helps my running better form
β’ Rest Day (1-2 days per week): Rest is also part of training , Essential for recovery and injury prevention.
β’ Endurance Training : On weekends I do Long Slow Distance Running ( LSD ) To improve my endurance for a half marathon, I focus on mileage. At least 15km - 21km and Over time, it l help my body adapt to running longer distances.
