What to expect at 12 month appointment✨

Heading to the 12-month appointment, and it’s a big one! Besides the usual check on height, weight, and head circumference to track growth, they’ll also do some important tests like checking hemoglobin levels for anemia and a lead screening. Vaccines are a key part of this visit, too—keeping up with immunizations to protect against serious illnesses, if you choose to do so!

We also went over those 1-year milestones, like walking, talking, and fine motor skills. And, as we’re transitioning to new foods, you will discuss introducing more solids, cow’s milk, and how to balance meals for all that growing energy. Unfortunately, our sweet girl is allergic to cow's milk so we will continue breast milk.

One is such a huge milestone, not just for the baby but for us as parents!
