Recent Tech Gadget Additions 🎧💫

Burnt a hole in my pocket in Dec with new tech purchases but they’re so worth it!!

1. Sony WH-1000XM4

Contemplated this for so long and finally pulled the trigger after experiencing a few occasions where I wish I had it. Got it on 1212 at <$300 on Lazada after some vouchers. Personally don’t think there’s much difference between XM4 and XM5 so I went with the cheaper one haha.

I’m absolutely loving this and have already gotten so much use! The noise cancellation is chef’s kiss, super helpful to keep me focused.

2. Kindle Basic Gen 11

A long overdue upgrade from the Gen 4 I’ve been using which is more than 10 years old already! I really am impressed by the longevity of my gen 4, wanted to only upgrade when it dies but it doesn’t seem to be dying anytime soon 😂

That said, I finally upgraded because my gen 4 doesn’t support wireless file transfer so it’s quite a hassle to import books. I had to:

Download book in epub/PDF on laptop > convert to mobi > plug kindle to laptop using USB A (It’s so hard to find a USB A that supports file transfer now!!) > drag mobi file into kindle

I haven’t started reading on my new kindle as I’m currently reading a physical book but I have imported some books into the kindle already and the process was so!! seamless!! I just needed to download the kindle app on my phone, download books from wherever in pdf/epub and then load the books into the kindle via the app. Everything can be done on my phone, no computer or wires required!
