SATISFY HAI DI LAO CRAVING FOR HALF THE PRICE?!

A trip to JB is always warranted, and now that there’s a new hai di lao that just opened at Amari Hotel, all the more reasons to go.

(Ps: before that check out this ultimate list of jb cafes with free wifi and powerpoint for a chill study/work/reading session, u wont regret it!)

Located just a stone’s throw away from City Square mall in jb, it’s housed beneath the mall at Amari, called Zenith mall.

They have a variety of soup bases to choose from, and many of them were new to me (i dont patronise hdl often in sg) but man, the fish maw soup (top left) was the bomb! The other soups were laksa, japanese broth, and white pepper pig’s intestines. The laksa tasted great at first, but got a little boring after awhile, not jelak, just boring. Japanese was not bad, and the white pepper pork wasn’t to my liking.

Anyways i think we spent about rm200++ for 4 people, which is seriously a lot lower than if we were to have it in SG. And we ordered the typical dishes like beef, shrimp paste, even abalone, as well as taking the sauce package.
