I think I have grown out from Young Adult books 🫣

Mine are non-fiction (history), history fiction & literature

This is just for fun in reminding old stories of mine when I started to take reading seriously. I started with historical fiction books because I really2 love history. And then I got inspired to start a bookstagram and also read A LOT of YA Fantasy like Six of Crows blabla 🤣 (penat taip tau). I admired strong heroine characters so bad. Acah nak jadi one of them 😛.

Seriously involved and having so much fun until I took a year break in 2020. I still read but I didn't post anything related abt books. Kononnya want to focus on personal life but life sucks. Back in 2021, I returned into my reading world but my taste in reading change surprisingly. When I tried to read YAs, I found that the heroine are annoying to me. I'm like 'Dah bosan already ka? 🤔' But I still have YA books yet to be read 😭😂. Bertimbun wei.

And then, I bought non-fictions pulak and surprisingly I felt comfortable....I must be old 🤪. So, I read more non-fictions until muak. I'm like what now? In 2022, I berkecimpung in literary world. It was nothing like before. It helps to broaden my view about world. Also I slowly ditch Western view books. I can't relate to them anymore & they are so onto themselves only so much 🙄.

In 2023, Asian Lit has become one of my fave. Also I was influenced by many reader friends. Honestly not all are easy to read. I kekadang terguling juga to understand. Luckily, settings & themes sometimes seems closer to home 😍. Again not all 😂 struggle juga nak faham.

Somehow, my journey in reading is still on the road. There's no hard stop yet. Still exploring this wide wide world through books 💕. I hope that you won't feel afraid to venture new genres 😘.
