🍁 Portsmouth New Hampshire in the Fall 🍁

It is kind of weird to be talking about the fall when it’s only May! But I am so passionate about this place that I want more people to go and visit so they can have cozy cute falls just like I did!

I have been to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, two times in the fall! I walked around in the rain, in the cold, at night and in the bright, warm sun… and I’ve loved every single moment!

Portsmouth is so cute and quaint that it makes me want to pack up my bags and move there. There are so many shops and restaurants that you’ll need to take a extra bag for souvenirs alone. Some of my favorites:

Elephantine bakery- if I knew I was going to die, I would go here just to get the poached eggs with garlic labneh and the chunk of sourdough. This is still some thing I think about eating even though it’s been two years since I’ve had it we sat outside and they had heating lamps on and you’re in this little alley, which was so cute!

Tuscan Market- so many options for Italian coffee and pastries! It’s right by the church downtown and a great place to relax, and people watch while eating any of its Italian delicacies.

Pickwicks mercantile- such a cute old Timey souvenir shop! I bought so many random things that I never would’ve thought I wanted, but walking in there you were transported to a different time! I would stop in any place that you see the name Mercantile in Portsmouth!

The Oar House- we were looking for a place with some lobsters and oysters, and this is the place to go! The portions were huge, and the interior of this restaurant is so cool! Made of wood and stone, and kind of feels like you’re in a ship! Clam chowder, lobster, mac & cheese, oysters, and the lobster roll 10/10!

Anywhere you go downtown everything is brick with these darling wood signs hanging outside of their shops, and everyone is so friendly! I would recommend at least staying one to two days to experience the nightlife and during the day. Two totally different vibes! It’s also right on the harbor which is beautiful to look at🥰
