I call this the Banana Split Latte, but in the coffee world, this would be better described as a Banana Mocha Latte with Strawberry Cold Foam. I love making dessert coffees, so the idea of recreating the classic banana split sundae that people have enjoyed for generations into a latte, was a no brainer. I didn’t have any maraschino cherries, but the bing cherry was just as delicious.
Ingredients
Chocolate sauce to drizzle in the cup
8 oz banana milk
Espresso (brewed over ½ tbsp chocolate sauce)
Strawberry Cold Foam - (3 tbsp heavy whipping cream, 2 tbsp milk, 1 tbsp strawberry syrup)
Whipped Cream
Cherry
Directions
Drizzle your glass with chocolate sauce
Add Ice
Pour banana milk over ice
Brew espresso over ½ tbsp of chocolate sauce. Mix using a small whisk, and pour over your ice and banana milk.
In a separate milk pitcher, froth together heavy whipping cream, milk, and strawberry syrup, then add mixture to your glass.
Garnish with whipped cream and don’t forget to add your cherry on top!
