when my friends and i made a visit to the museum recently on a weekend, we were pleasantly surprised that it was not as crowded as we expected! maybe it could be partially due to its slightly more secluded location being in the outskirts of the cbd, but that gave us the freedom to enjoy and appreciate the artworks even better 😋 also with the weather being so erratic lately, the blasting a/c definitely cooled us down from the sweltering heat.

✅ APPRECIATING THE ARTS 🧐 🎭

with us being caught up with our day to day activities, we rarely have time to truly appreciate and indulge in the arts. this visit to the museum helped to shine a light on interesting themes and topics such as gender and queerness, or the dangers of technology which i found really interesting. also it was interesting to hear from my friends about their thoughts on the art pieces too!

✅ ONE FOR THE GRAM 📸

with ig worthy spots aplenty, be sure to get your museum fit check for the gram! i was especially impressed by SAM’s latest exhibits “Factory of the Sun” and “Lila: Unending Play”, with the former transporting me to a Tron sci-fi inspired world!

just show the reception your IC/driving license and you’ll be given access to all the exhibits 🤩 but do check which exhibits are still on display via their website first before heading down! the current exhibits are being shown till 24th Sep 2023 :)

end off the day by heading to the engine room, a small event area where you can rack your creative juices and draw whatever comes to mind! hang up your artworks on the display wall and reward yourself with a cup of coffee at Epigram Coffee Bookstore ☕️
