The Perfect Weekend in Santa Rosa Beach, FL

For my boyfriend’s birthday, we drove from New Orleans to Santa Rosa, FL. We were already in Nola because I had a speaking engagement, and I figured this would be an easy but enjoyable quick trip. I used to travel to Seaside, FL, all the time as a child with my parents for Easter, and the vibes were always easygoing and fun.

I was worried, however, that it would be too slow-paced for my bf since he’s from New York lol. But, it was the best, most chill weekend we’ve had in a long time.

We’ve both been so stressed, feeling so overworked from our jobs, and it was nice to absolutely do NOTHING for a few days.

We stayed in this gorgeous little cottage, got tipsy and ate lobster at Pescado in Rosemary Beach, devoured heavenly ice cream at Blue Mountain Beach Creamery, and took several long walks on the beach … because I had to get my steps in. (We also attempted to kayak for the first time but that was an epic fail because our kayak turned over twice smh.)
