🌿 4 Propagation Tips for newbies~

🌿 So, you have an overgrown plant that’s gotten a little TOO leafy or leggy, and you want to propagate (prop) your plants. But, you don’t know where to start.

Fear not—I gotchu. Here are some propagation tips I use to get successful propagations every time, WITHOUT the fuss of using what products and doing basically origami with your babies.

☘️— SOME OTHER TIPS —☘️

Besides the 4 listed, here are some other tips I use:

1. Depending on the plant, you CAN prop in other media. Common substrates I use include: Sphagnum moss, Orchid bark, Fluval Stratum, water polymer balls (Orbeez!)or just plain soil. You can also propagate in LECA if you want!

2. When you’re taking a successfully rooted plant, rinse it and remove anything dead before you plant. I use tap water, but some plants are finicky and like distilled water.

3. Make sure the surrounding area is well ventilated and comfy for your baby plants. Pothos and Tradescantia are hardy breeds and could care less if you stuck them in your closet, but other plants like Pilea and Monstera might have a few words to say if they’re not watered enough.
