Things to include in your classroom!

As a future elementary teacher, I can confidently say that it is important to include these couple of things in your classroom! ⭐️🧩

Having a bookshelf with many different interests/hobbies that your kids love to do or read about is super important! Knowing what they like is step number one, and this can also help you connect with them in many different ways! It can also help encourage them to want to pick up a book and read! 📚📖

Having vowel team charts and posters up in your room is very beneficial for young students because while they are learning to read, they can get stuck on difficult words to pronounce that include these vowels. This can help to support phonics instruction, improve spelling skills, enhance word recognition, engage visual learners, and so much more! 🔠🗣️👁️

Including anchor charts on concepts you have taught and what they have learned in the past is super important to keep up hanging around your room. This can help to provide a visual reference for students' learning, support independent learning, reinforce key concepts, make learning interactive, and support long-term learning! 👁️🧩⭐️

The last thing I recommend including in your classroom is a consonant word wall or any sight word wall! Displaying this can reinforce phonics and letter-sound relationships, support spelling and word recognition, improve reading fluency, build vocabulary, engage visual learners, and so much more!🔠🔆💜
