Yall. On my second solo trip, I asked ChatGPT to create a budget friendly itinerary for my 5 day trip to Taiwan. What you’re reading rn is my experience with the itinerary that… I didn’t follow 💀 (itinerary at the bottom)

Instead, I veered OFF COURSE, like WAYYY off course, due to stuff like idk…

✨✨✨

Meeting new people ☺️

Waking up late ☺️

Finding out that certain things were out of my budget ☺️

Or simply closed ☺️🤚🔪🩸

✨✨✨

lesson learnt frrr, felt like I wasted my fewlings by having expectations on the stuff I missed out on. It added mental load to me, whenever I ‘missed out’ on a destination I felt an oof feeling. Like I was missing out 😭

To avoid that, I decided to do something crazy for my third solo trip. Like crazy crazy bc I’d never done something so seemingly stupid and crazy before

❗️I went itinerary free❗️

I knew what places I wanted to hit, so I just did enough research into the safety, weather and famous destinations in the area for me to be able to pack my luggage accordingly and then went in with only my flights booked 🤟

and to my surprise, things worked out! Are there ways things could’ve gone better? Like for example not forgetting my bag in ANOTHER FREAKING CITY? Yeah totally, but would I do things the same way again if I had the chance?

Yes and no. Yes cuz screwing up was a learning experience for me, I’ve had big screws up an unbelievable amount of times. Somehow I’m still alive and still looking forward to doing solo trips :) idk how hehehehe~ and no cuz I had to spend hundreds on fixing my mistake (~lalala had to rebook my flight bc the bag couldn’t arrive in time, had to pay for the bag to get transported to my city)

… I have many more stories like this. if you want to hear more stories like this, comment so I know.

If u need advice on travelling, I’ve been to Vietnam, Taiwan and China solo, can lmk, I’m pretty familiar with the place and can share general advice :)
