My mum and I went on a trip to Korea in March this year, and I wanted to share some of the places we managed to squeeze in ONE day in Busan🤪🤪

For those of you who are going to Seoul soon and are only planning to stay for a week or so, I would highly recommend taking the KTX to Busan for a 2 day trip😋😋

👉🏻👉🏻 Another popular destination amongst tourists would be Jeju Island 🍊🏝️, but after some researching, we decided to visit Busan instead as ☝🏻a whole plane ride to Jeju would be too troublesome for just my mum and I😿 (luggage etc)

✌🏻we only wanted to spend 2 nights out of Seoul, so that we would have time to explore the city itself for the rest of the week!! (i personally would like more time to explore Jeju🫠🫠)

Here are list of places we visited and my thoughts on them🤭🤭 :

✨ Gamcheon Culture Village, Busan

Full of rich culture and photoesque spots, it was no wonder that this village was, and is still highly talked about by tourists travelling from far and wide🤩🤩 The atmosphere was really peaceful in the morning and there was not a lot of people then, so we seized the opportunity to grab some food before it got any later! Unfortunately, I can’t remember the name of the cafe we visited but the 🍯 toast we ordered there was HANDS DOWN the best I’ve had till date😭😭😭 Perfectly sweet and buttery and the soft bread was just-😳😳 After breakfast, we bought some souvenirs for friends and family at a few shops lining the side of the street!! The prices were reasonable and I was very grateful that the locals were really patient and kind when we were asking about their products🥹

✨ Jagalchi Market

This market has 2 main areas; an outdoor and indoor area😸 The outdoor area was mainly just vendors selling their fresh catches and Korean delicacies while the indoor area housed benches and long chairs, with different vendors selling seafood that we could eat on the spot!! We spontaneously decided to try the live octopus and raw soy-sauce marinated crab from one of the vendors (because I had been wanting to try them for the longest time ever since I started watching Korean Mukbangs😎😎) and it was definitely an experience😗😗😗 But, please consume at your own discretion as I had an upset stomach after this LOL😳 We also had a grilled mackerel and it was so juicy and well-seasoned🥵 This was my mum’s fav!!All in all, the seafood in Busan >>> 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

✨ Gwangalli Beach

In general, I always found beaches the best to visit either at sunrise or sunset, and catching the sunset at this beach with a stunning view of Gwangan Bridge in the distance only further proved my point😭😭 The weather was just right, and the sky was perfectly multicolored??? HAHAHAHA you just have to experience it for yourself to know what I’m talking about🤤🤤 Just across from the beach was this cute donut shop that had a bright turquoise theme going on (so it was hard to miss) and we decided to grab some to try!! We also ordered hot drinks on the side🤩 The interior of the donut shop was very well decorated😙😙😙 As we watched the sun set, we took many pictures to capture those precious moments🥹🥹

✨ Thai massage place that has no english name

📍Address: 197-20 Gwangan-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan, South Korea (next to DonutShop)

After walking around so much, we desperately needed a massage and this place was THE ultimate solution to our problems😭😭😭 they weren’t super fluent in English but did their best to converse with us and it was overall a really pleasant massage experience🥵🥵 the decoration in there was also phenomenal with pretty lights and lots of leafy plants 🪴 The massage room had a spectacular uninterrupted view of Gwangan Beach which I felt was the highlight of the whole massage😎 def would go back again😌😌

✨BIFF Street

We ended the day off with trying ✨ DELICIOUS✨ street food at BIFF street🤤 the hotteok is a must-try!! nutty, sweet and crispy…what’s there not to like😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 (we ended up getting 1 each even though we said we were “full” 🫠🫠🫠) Like other food streets in Seoul, there were also vendors selling apparel and bags etc!! I took individual 0.5 pics with the vendors too LOL they were so kind and nice to talk to🥰🥰 Don’t be afraid to strike up a conversation with them if it’s not too crowded😙😙

There are definitely more places to visit in Busan, and I wish I had an extra night just to chill because it REALLY is so peaceful compared to the hustle and bustle of Seoul😣 BUTT I hope this list of places has helped you plan your little Busan getaway🥶🥶 Stay safe, take lots of pics and EAT EAT EAT🤭🫶🏻🫶🏻
