This Japanese eatery is closing down soon☹️😞

My boyfriend found this Japanese shop on tiktok and being jap food LOVERS😍, we knew we HAD to check it out before they close down on 12 August😓😓

🕰️ Opening Hours: Mon-Sat (11:30am - 1:45pm and 5:30pm - 7:45pm)

‼️Closed on Sundays and PHs

‼️ only cash accepted (Fortune Centre has a UOB atm but I included the location of the nearest ocbc atm in the last slide!! it’s about a 10 min walk from Fortune Centre)

We arrived at 6:50pm and there was already a queue forming🥲 The queue got especially long at 7:10pm, and they had to put up an early “closed” sign to stop the queue from getting too long😭😭

‼️ so do go there earlier to beat the crowd!

We ordered the best-selling chicken katsu with curry, fried cheese mochi, kitsune udon and of course, thick-a$$ salmon belly slices🤩🤩 We felt like the cheese mochi could have a stronger cheese taste😔, so you can give that a miss, but definitely go for their salmon belly sashimi🐟 and curry rice🍛!!! The chicken katsu was incredibly crispy on the outside but still juicy on the inside🥹 The curry was also slightly sweet and paired nicely with the katsu🤭🤭 As my bf personally prefers pork katsu, he was genuinely impressed and shocked by the quality of the chicken katsu for its price😋😋😋

‼️ another thing to note would be that you would have to wait 20-30 mins for most of the hot food items😭 We observed that they will serve you the sashimi, sides and maki rolls first if you ordered them :)

We approached the staff and found out that they were going to close because of the chefs’ retirement😕😕 We understood, looking at how all the staff were in their 50s and 60s, so please do be patient with them :)

🔥🔥But most importantly, go show them some support 🫶🏻 before they close down permanently a month from now~~ Happy eating☺️☺️☺️
