If you’re looking for the ultimate comfort food, try these savory Salisbury steak meatballs! Homemade juicy meatballs smothered in the most delicious onion/mushroom gravy ever. ❤️🧆

Disclaimer: no measurements were included in this recipe. Inspired by TheWolfePit on YouTube, but I did not exactly follow the recipe to a T.

What you’ll need:

• 1 lb ground beef, 80/20 lean/fat

• 1 egg

• 1 pack of Lipton beefy onion soup mix

• 1 pack of brown gravy

• beef broth

• milk

• Worcestershire sauce

• onion

• baby bella mushrooms

• black pepper

• plain panko breadcrumbs

Mix together the ingredients named above WITH AN EXCEPTION OF: brown gravy pack, beef broth, onion and baby bella mushrooms.

Portion out mixture into small pieces. Round pieces into a ball and ensure that they are all similar in size.

Take raw meatballs to a coated skillet on medium high heat and brown all sides for 2 minutes. Do not allow meatballs to cook all the way through.

Remove meatballs from skillet. Add sliced onions and baby bella mushrooms. Cook until onions are translucent. Add beef broth. (I did about 3/4 of the can you see pictured).

Add pack of brown gravy. Mix well. Add meatballs back in skillet, reduce heat and simmer. Cook time will vary depending on the size of meatballs.

Ground beef doesn’t take that long so I’d say between 15-20 minutes. By this time gravy should have thickened and mushrooms should be tender.

Enjoy with white rice or mashed potatoes paired with your favorite veggies!
