Hi besties,

Back when I younger, I didn't really give my private regions much thought. I must say that I'm more attentive to my vagina than l've ever been.

I think a big part of the reason is because the time has taught me that it isn't just an organ or the part of the body where children are birthed. It is a part of what makes me a woman and I adore being that.

That's why l'm all about sharing as much info as I can about ways that all of us can take better care of ourselves. If you're looking for some tips on this area, I've got you some today - some vagina hacks that ACTUALLY work!

So let's go:

1. Cleaning

- Maintaining a clean vagina means regular, gentle bathing on the outside (remember, not inside!) of the vagina.

- Water is the best cleanser - possibly with a mild soap - but less is always more in this case.

- Your vagina does not need to any artificial smell.

Do not douche as it can disrupt the pH and strip the vagina of necessary bacteria, causing infections and irritation

2. 2. Sex care

- Use water-based glycerine lubricants

- Use non-latex condoms

- Get checked for sexually transmitted infections (ST|s) each year or before changing sexual partners

- Get vaccinated against the human papillomavirus (HPV)

3. Clothing

- Wear cotton underwear

- Wash and change out of sweaty clothing as soon as possible after sport

- Wash clothes with pure soap (such as Lux flakes)

Also sharing some easy drinks to help keep it healthy down there:

1. Lemon water

Lemons support vaginal health as their acidic nature helps maintain the vagina's healthy pH level.

Antioxidants in this citrus fruit also help protect the cells from free-radical damage.

In addition, they work as an immune booster to help your body fight infection.

To make lemon water, mix the juice of 1 lemon to a glass of warm water and add a little raw honey for taste.

2. Soy milk

The phytoestrogens in the soy product help keep the vagina lubricated, which is very important to prevent dryness, itching and other problems. It also contains omega-3 fatty acids, protein and vitamins and minerals to help body cope with premenstrual as well as menopausal symptoms.

Other soy products that you can include in your diet are soybeans, soy milk and tofu.

3. Okra water

Since both of okra and water help promote healthy blood flow, which is an important factor when promoting the secretion of vaginal lubrication, okra water drinkers may be more prone to experiencing less vaginal dryness than those who don't drink okra water.
