What it feels like to not be the fav child 🥹

In my family, it’s just my older brother and me. While I have a really good relationship with him, it still stings to notice the subtle signs that he’s the favorite child.

My father doesn’t really show favourites, but my mother makes it very obvious about who her favourite child is. She has never had a bad thing to comment about him. In fact, she has only ever praised him and constantly used him as reference to compare me with.

Whether it’s academics, musical instruments, lifestyle choices, or even house chores, she always finds something positive to highlight about him. I understand that parents love their children differently, but I’ve always wished my mom could see me from a different lens 🥹
