It was my first time in the Philippines for a business trip! All credits to my lovely PH colleagues who planned for business and team meals in the BGC (Bonifacio Global City) area where we stayed and had meetings at.

If it’s your first time in Manila and you’re wondering where are some decent food places for biz lunches/dinner which fulfils the following criteria:

✔️ Has Decent / Good Food

✔️ Can Accommodate A Big Group

✔️ Is Relatively Quiet for Good Conversations

✔️ Is Affordable

✔️ Is Convenient To Get To

✔️ Has a Nice Ambience

Here’s some ideas for you!

1️⃣ Manam

⭐️⭐️⭐️

This restaurant was the best we had! It served authentic Filipino food loved by both locals and foreigners alike. My favourite was the gising gising which was a vegetable dish cooked with ground pork/chicken and coconut milk. It was so good when paired with rice. All the dishes we ordered here was a hit! Be sure to check out the Ube drink, the Fish Sisig, the watermelon sour soup (Sinigang Na Pakwan) and the peppers spring roll with cheese.

2️⃣ Manduca

⭐️⭐️

With the Philippines being colonised by Spain for a period of time, you could see Spanish influence in the city with many Spanish restaurants around and Manduca being one of them. The ambience of the restaurant was quiet and conducive for conversations. Standout dishes included the squid ink Paella, the ham and cheese croquette and the Spanish omelette.

3️⃣ Wild Flour

⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of the best cafes in the area for a nice morning meeting or for brunch with a wide variety of brunch food, pastries and drinks. The shashouka and croissants here are great. You’ll be sure to find something you like with the extensive menu.

4️⃣ Ooma

⭐️⭐️

Casual Japanese restaurant if you’re looking for something different. Whether you’d like to have sushi, udon, donburi, ramen or Jap desserts, this place got you covered. It is also convenient and located in the middle of the city.

You never know when you might head to PH for a trip, feel free to save this post for future reference 🤗
