Rangers Vs Capitals

I LOVE hockey. It’s probably my favorite sport! My dad surprised me with Rangers tickets for Christmas, so we decided to make a day out of it.

I prefer to take the train in and out of the city, so thats what we did! Driving in the city scares me, and uber/taxis are crazy expensive. Trains are easy and pretty reliable.

It ended up being a pretty rainy day, so we walked around KTown for a little bit before heading to dinner. We tried a new place, Let’s Meat, and it was AMAZING. Its an ayce kbbq where you select what meats you would like and the server helps you cook them. We tried hangar steak, ribeye, brisket, and a bunch of others, but my favorite was by far the spicy pork short rib. It wasn’t very spicy, but had a delicious gochujang marinade on it. If you ever go, you gotta try it!

Finally it was time for the game! We got to MSG around 6, which is when doors open. After checking out the garden (the improvements are awesome!) we popped to our seats to grab a few photos and get ready.

Once the game got started, the energy was insane. The first period saw no goals, and tbh we were playing pretty sloppy, but that is to be expected after 3 days off for the holidays. The second period started, though, and I knew that the team I know and love was back and ready to play. We ended the game 5-1 Rangers, and Shesterkin, who is on my jersey, had one of the most beautiful saves I have ever seen live.

Overall, it was a fantastic day, and the win made it all that more sweet. I already can’t wait to go to my next game, even though I know it wont be until the 24-25 season :)
