Best Reno Decision 🏠 — CURVES ~

Hi guys! 👋🏻

We are down to the final week or so for our home renovation (omg finally!) and thought of doing a quick sharing on our best Reno decision — which is to do all the CURVES I wanted!!! 😝

So…If you're thinking of implementing curves/curvey elements into your home, DO IT!!! 🥹👌🏻

For our Wabi Muji (Wabi Sabi & Muji) Theme home,

we've implemented various types of curves:

🤎 Niche wall at entranceway

— My favourite corner of the home, everyone should have a niche wall!! 🥹

🤎 Arch entrance to service yard

— We had to hack away the original walls and windows to build this partition! I really wanted a different entrance to the service yard and this arch is an aesthetic choice. 👌🏻We will be adding reeded frosted sliding glass doors so that we can hide the “mess” (hopefully not) behind 🤭

🤎 Curved corners for false ceilings & walls

— adds softness and flow throughout the house~ ☁️

🤎 Curved corner for aircon box-up

— the box up was really big and bulky, not so aesthetically pleasing with the sharp corner, after much hesitation, we decided to go ahead and make it curved 🤭 so much better!!

🤎 Curved flooring between kitchen and living area

— an idea suggested by our ID which we love!! A unique feature compared to the usual straight tiling work, and this created a nice flow when we walk from our entranceway to the living area. ✨

🤎 Curved Island

— having an island at our open kitchen was top of my list too and of course it had to be curved! Make way for more walking space too! 🕺🏻

🤎 Curved corners for wardrobe

— also our ID’s idea, to continue the curves to our master bedroom. But do note this feature will eat a little into your wardrobe space, but it’s negligible! 😊

🤎 Curved edge for vanity’s quartz countertop

— final detail that I couldn’t miss out on! And because the toilets are fairly smaller now, any tricks that can make the space feel and look bigger, I am in for it! Compare to a sharped edge, this looks much better! 😉
