Kobo vs Kindle… need advice

I have a Kindle Paperwhite 5, which I’ve had for 2.5 years and I want to leave for the Kobo Libra Colour.

Kindle works fine for me. No bugs or issues other than the fact that I can't leave KU at the moment. (The website will let me)

But I've got to the point where I just side-load books and I haven't been using KU at all. And I'm waiting for $11 a month (bad on my part).

Kobo has all these great features that I would love to have that Kindle doesn't offer.

1. Buttons (Oasis is gone)

2. Color

3. I can easily transfer over to Calibre

4. Annotating/ highlights

5. The screen has more to it- you can see how much you have time left in book

6. More customizable.

7. I just want to branch out and see what's out there.

Or should I just stay with the Kindle?

Even though we don’t actually own the books we bought on there because of DRM.

Also, if you have both, which one is better? Or should I just keep both of them even though I have an iPad?
