Spend a Sunday with my grandma and I🫶🏼

My grandma and I have always been very close. She lives in CA and makes trips to come see my family here about once a year. Recently she turned 80 years old and I’m reminded of how little time I have left with her. She was able to come and stay a night with me at my house and we had so much fun together. From late night talks, giggles, reminiscing on memories, shopping, eating, and movie-watching, our girl time is unmatched.

A note to those that have grandparents that are still here:

- ask them questions - ask them about how they grew up, their favorite memories, the things that broke their heart, what falling in love was like, and anything else.

- listen to them - they’ve lived a lot of life and have so much wisdom to share.

- make memories with them - go do something new. These are moments you will cherish forever.

- love on them - show them love in as many ways you can as often as you can because one day it will be too late.

I lost my grandpa when I was 6 and it shattered my little heart. I remind myself to cherish the moments I have with my grandma (and anyone in my life, really). Life passes by too quickly, so make the most of it.
