Zion National Park is one of the best national parks in the US. It has epic hiking, great views, wildlife, and more. I have visited the park twice, and done many of the hikes more than once.

Here are some of my favourite spots that you should not miss inside of Zion National Park!

The Narrows The Narrows: The Narrows is a great hike right through the middle of Zion National Park. You’ll trek knee-deep (or more!) through a winding river that will take you miles into the park. I recommend planning ahead and getting your gear from Zion Outfitters the day before you hike. Water boots are an absolute must for this hike if you want to venture far into The Narrows and if the water levels are high waders will make the hike more comfortable.

Angels Landing Angels Landing: Labeled one of the “most dangerous” hikes in the US, Angels Landing will have you holding onto chains with steep drops off a cliff to either side. But don’t let the reputation scare you! If you are up for a once-in-a-lifetime hike (and have a permit in hand), then this is a must do hike in Zion! Something I didn’t know ahead of time is that if you are not able to secure a permit, you can still hike right up to the start of the actual Angels Landing trail and get some great views across the park.

Zion Canyon Scenic Dr A large part of the park is only accessible by shuttle, but you can also do an epic 54 mile drive along the Zion scenic byway. This road will take you through some amazing viewpoints with places to pull over and take photos.

Emerald Pools Trail These pools are much more accessible than some of the other hikes in the park. There are 3 routes you can take to the pools, with the lower pools the easiest to reach and the upper pools the most difficult. We really enjoyed this hike as a lighter option after some of the bigger more technical hikes.

Zion Overlook Canyon Overlook: This trail is a short 1-mile roundtrip hike but comes with wonderful views! It is right off the highway so you can park and walk to the top. And unlike Angels Landing, no permit is required to enjoy this viewpoint!
