Rare Beauty Dupe? 👀👀

Is it a Dupe? Rare Beauty vs. Wet n Wild

It’s no secret that Rare Beauty is one of my favorite brands. At the same time, I am still always down for an affordable dupe that’s more accessible. Rare Beauty is definitely a pricier brand in comparison to Wet n Wild, but does the formula actually stand up to a cult favorite beauty brand?

Pricing

First, I wanted to tackle the obvious pricing difference. The Rare Beauty Positive Light Liquid Luminizer is $25 in comparison to the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Halo Liquid Highlighter which is priced at $7. You can get three shades of the Halo Liquid Highlighter and still have some change for the same price as one liquid luminizer.

Texture

Both textures are pretty nice and buttery. I like the way that they both blend out on the skin, the Rare Beauty Liquid Luminizer is a little more buttery in comparison to the Wet n Wild, but I don’t think it’s a deal breaker.

Pigmentation

I was surprised on how similar these shades actually are. I’m pretty impressed with the pigmentation of the Wet n Wild.

Scent

The Wet n Wild does have an initially chemical scent but it does go away after a while. The Rare Beauty one does not have a scent to me.

Overall, I do love both liquid highlighters. If you’re on a budget, definitely check out the Wet n Wild, so pleasantly surprised about it. I do need to check out more shades. I will always love my Rare Beauty though so if you can splurge or want to splurge, I definitely would.
