HOW TO ANNOTATE YOUR BOOKS

i've been annotating, or "stickying," my books since i was twelve!! the first book i ever annotated was mark of athena by rick riordan bc i was just DYING over percabeth and i stuck around with the habit ever since!

i get plenty of comments asking what i sticky or how i do it, so here's an explanation with an example of lines i've stickied and why! this is an excerpt from the book flawless by elsie silver (which is SO phenomenal) with some amazing lines!

there are so so many ways in which you can sticky/annotate your books. personally, i only ever use pens and highlighters for books for school but lots of people like to! i think at the end of the day it's YOUR book so your method can be personal to your own reading experience! this is just a guide to what i do, not anything you have to do!
