What I’m Using Instead of Kindle

I’m getting rid of my Kindle. I have a Kindle Fire and debated purchasing a Paperwhite that is easier on the eyes, but I already have an iPad. Plus, I always forget to charge the Kindle, but always have my iPad charged and with me.

So instead of buying a Paperwhite, I bought an $8 paper-like, matte screen protector and it’s made such a huge difference. It’s hard to capture the full effect on photo, but the glares and lights aren’t near as harsh.

Maybe one day, I’ll cave and get a Paperwhite, but it just makes more sense to spend $8 rather than whatever a Paperwhite costs.

Plus, I can’t have all of the book apps that I want on a Kindle. I know that with Libby, NetGalley, and Book Funnel you can have the ebook file sent to your Kindle, but it’s so much more convenient having all of the apps in one place.
