being someone who likes to take a lot of photos and keeps pockets of memories, these 2 apps have helped me so much in making the photos come alive!🫀

of course, some of these might not look as legit as those taken by a film camera, but it’s a great alternative for those who don’t wish to spend on one but still want a glimpse of the effect!🤩

✿ Dazz Cam 📷

this used to be an app sitting in my phone, because the 3d video was in trend back then so i only used it for that sole purpose. but recently, i discovered that they had really nice filters such as CPM35 which is my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE. this filter gives your photos a nostalgic and dreamy look to it, and looks best with warmer-toned photos! ☀️

what i love about dazz cam too, is that you can remove the watermarks and timestamps if you’d like the picture to look cleaner! you can also put the filters on pictures you already have in your camera roll, whereas Filmroll (the next app) isn’t able to do so.

before i found out that dazz cam had such amazing effects, i was using filmroll religiously. filmroll works really well too, and i mainly use Fuji Colour 100. similar to dazz cam’s CPM35, it also adds more of a warm effect to the overall images.

i ocassionally use Fuji Superia 100 too, but it’s not my favourite. it has a more vibrant and pink/purple tint to the pictures, which could suit pictures of nature better! 🌸

✿ all in all, i’ve tried disposable film cameras before but always find them a little too pricey to own and to develop. the excitement of waiting for the developed films is there, but for me the apps are sufficient enough to spice up my photos! ✨
