My actress era | what to expect as a NOOB actress📸

I was recently in a small role in a Hari Raya skit by sgag! This was how it went down⬇️

How did I even get this role?🤔

I’m signed under Hepmil (a media company by sgag) and one of their staff reached out to me to ask if I was interested.

I was conflicted because they would only be paying my transportation.. they said this was a short gig (one hour) so they can only afford that much. I agreed only because I felt this would help me expand my skills as a creator and network even further!

What happens then? 🤔

They sent me the script and I only had one line! Which is A RELIEF because I have zero acting skills and any more lines would absolutely break me HAHAH

Table read 📖

We had a table read the day before through video call where we read our lines with all the cast members. Ngl I was absolutely starstruck seeing everyone??? HAHAH THIS IS THE A-Listers of the online world in Singapore ok😂

The day itself 📸

everyone was extremely nice and welcoming💓 which was a relief!! I tried very hard to make small talk with everyone 😂

everyone was very ⭐️⭐️✅, they’ve done this hundreds of times and it shows. They don’t even need to follow the script, they somehow manage to deliver funny lines from the top of their heads??

Anyway, they prioritised my scenes first due to the fact they only hired me for an hour.

The director would tell me what to do and would encourage me even when I was INCREDIBLY AWKWARD!!! Hahaha

⭐️ at the end of the day I had fun. I genuinely don’t know if they’ll hire me again bc I really was awkward lmao but don’t worry potential agent scouts reading this, I can get better!
