How I care for my hair during the Summer

As a curly/wavy girlie I have learned a ton about caring for my hair. ESPECIALLY now that I’m 4 months post partum and my hair has changed a bit.

* if i’m going to the pool/beach always coconut oil and braids

* if i’m leaving the house in general heat protectant spray! its not just for styling tools

* acv scalp treatments! sometimes if you’re in the water multiple days in a row you probably don’t wanna have to wash your hair back to back. i like to take a spray bottle and some acv diluted with water and soray it on my scalp to prevent the uncomfy itch

* stay hydrated of course!

* i like to dust my ends once a month, i go curl by curl

* castor oil on my ends i like to have extra protection especially when i go to bed

* i have no shame! i will happily wear my bonnet out and about. they’re are some super cute ones out there that you can definitely style with a cute fit.

* for sure stay away from bleach & dye. between the heat, and the water its just not worth it for me.

* absolutely NO HAIR TIES!! i use silky scrunchies and claw clips only! (except for braids then its a little elastic) i have QUITE the clip collection going ask my husband lol

i’m learning to love myself all over again and that to me means protecting every bit of me from head to toe :)
